In this year, the Class Five child explores an incredibly rich range of topics, incorporating the stories, myths, inventiveness, daily life and early history of various Ancient Civilisations, a continuing broadening of Geography and History that covers their home nation or continent and an introduction to a scientific understanding of Botany and Fungi. Our range of blocks for Class Five integrate these key themes by supporting the child to connect how botany and the world’s biomes relate to geography and how history, mythology and culture are also closely linked to geography, developing a curious, inspired and compassionate understanding for the world and it’s inhabitants in the Class Five child.
