We will be learning about the soil, about the seasons and the right time to plant crops. We learn about the importance of preparing the soil ready for planting, and how to prepare compost. We will learn about traditional farming tools, how to sow seeds, and nourish plants. We will look at old wisdoms and the impact that mechanical tools had on the land and farmers, and we will look at the daily tasks of the farmer and the animals that were so much part of their daily lives, as well as learning to preserve the harvest and make butter and cheese.
