Human & Animal Day 3

In the study of the human being and the animal, we begin by briefly looking at the human being in terms of our head, torso, and limbs. We also explore in terms of systems, our nerve/sense system, our rhythmic system of heart and lungs, and our metabolic, muscular system. We turn our attention toward such animals as the eagle, the lion, and the cow, for the qualities they exhibit, among others.

In the second block, we continue studying animals and learn note-taking and continue to expand our skills in composition so that the children will be able to write a report assignment on an animal of their choice.

  • Artistic work, comparisons - how are we similar and how are we different, descriptive writing, poetry, note-taking, composition, report writing, etc.
